  • MDLL is a year-round lacrosse organization bringing players together through leagues, tournaments, club programs, and special events across Maryland and the DMV. From youth to adults, beginners to seasoned players, we focus on competitive lacrosse, great venues, clear communication, and a fun, community-first atmosphere both on and off the field.

  • All MDLL programs are professionally organized and managed by experienced directors and staff with backgrounds in lacrosse coaching, operations, and event management. Our events take place at top-tier venues, from college campuses like Johns Hopkins, to destination weekends in Deep Creek’s mountains and lake region, and summer showcases in Ocean City — bringing together some of the best players and programs from across the country.

  • Events are held at locations throughout Maryland and surrounding areas. Specific venues are listed on individual event and league pages.

  • Leagues are organized by age group and division and run seasonally (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). Games include certified officials with Free agent and team signup options available.

    Leagues are competitive but inclusive. Divisions are structured to create balanced competition based on age and experience.

    MDLL Select is the Maryland Lacrosse League’s boys club program, focused on long-term player development, competitive team play, and professionally run tournament experiences.

    What grades does MDLL Select serve?
    MDLL Select serves boys in grades 1–11, with teams organized by graduation year and age.

    What teams are part of MDLL Select?
    MDLL Select includes multiple teams designed to serve players across different regions and competitive levels, including:

    • Mallards

    • Greene Turtle

    • MDLL South

    • MDLL West

    All teams operate under the MDLL Select umbrella with shared standards for coaching, communication, and player development.

    How are players placed on Mallards, Greene Turtle, MDLL South, or MDLL West?
    Player placement is based on grade, geographic location, experience level, and evaluations/tryouts. Our goal is to place each player in the best environment for development and competition.

    Where are MDLL Select practices held?
    Practices are held at multiple locations across Maryland, including Towson, Frederick, and Annapolis, depending on the team, season, and field availability.

    What seasons do MDLL Select teams participate in?
    MDLL Select teams typically participate in summer and fall tournaments, with additional training or off-season opportunities depending on age group and team.

    What is included with MDLL Select (player pack)?
    All MDLL Select players receive a player pack that includes:

    • Jersey

    • Shirt/Shorts

    • Hoody

    • Sweatpants

    • Helmets for players in middle school and younger

    How is MDLL Select different from MDLL leagues?
    MDLL Select is a club program with consistent rosters, practices, and tournament play. MDLL leagues are seasonal, open-format leagues designed for broader participation.

    Are tryouts required for MDLL Select?
    Yes. Tryouts or evaluations are required to ensure competitive balance and proper team placement.

    Are payment plans available?
    Yes. Monthly payment options are available to help families spread costs out over time.

    What level of player is MDLL Select for?

  • What does an MDLL membership include?
    MDLL membership provides year-round access to adult leagues, select tournaments, member-only events, pickup games, and social events. Membership is designed for players who want consistent lacrosse without registering and paying each season separately.

    Is membership required to play?
    Membership is required for most adult leagues and offers the best overall value. Adult players may also choose to register by season only if they prefer not to commit to a full membership.

    How does the monthly membership work?
    Adult memberships are available for $60 per month, giving players access to MDLL programming throughout the year while spreading costs out evenly instead of paying per season.

    Can I play without a membership?
    Yes. Players who prefer flexibility may register by season, but membership provides the most value for players planning to participate year-round.

    Are memberships refundable?
    Memberships are non-refundable. Please review all membership details before signing up.

    Is a US Lacrosse membership required?
    Yes. All players must maintain an active US Lacrosse membership for insurance and safety purposes.

  • How do I register for a tournament?
    Tournament registration is handled on each event’s page. Registration may be for teams or individuals depending on the event.

    Do tournaments sell out?
    Yes. Many divisions fill quickly and may close once full.

  • What happens if games are canceled due to weather?
    MDLL will make every effort to reschedule games. Decisions are communicated directly to participants In Teamlinkt or via Email.

    Are referees provided?
    Yes. Certified officials are assigned to all MDLL games.
